Timothy Williams was born in Grand Rapids Michigan in 1965. He was admitted to the bar in 1992. Shortly therafter he worked with a small firm in Benzie County, before starting his own practice in Manistee MI in December of 1992. In 2003 he moved to the Mason and relocated the practice to the Ingham COunty/Mason area. Just recently the firm moved into its new offices above the Valut Deli in Downtown Mason. The office gives us more space and better faciliaties to service our clients needs.
Mr. Williams has complied specilized experience in Criminal law in the following areas. Misdemeanor and Felony Defense Drunk Driving and License Restoration. IN the Fmaily Law area Mr. Williams has specilized experience is Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Adoption and Abuse and Neglect. Mr. Williams also has recently won two cases on Summary Judgment dealing with real and personal property disputes, including adverse possession.
Mr. Williams serves as Court Appointed Counsel for Indigent Defendants in both Ingham and Jackson Counties. Mr. Williams also serves as a court appointed attorney for parents involved with Child Protection Proceedings and as a Gurdian Ad Litem for children in foster care. HE also handles appeals of parents who has had theri parental rights terminated in Abuse and Neglect proceedings. He is a memebr of the Criminal Law, Family Law, Real Property Law and Probate and Estate sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Williams is also a member of the Ingham and Jackson County Bar Associations.
Mr. Williams is a runner who enjoys participating in a variety of 5K runs around the State of Michigan. Mr. Williams also is a avid Baseball fan and loves spending time in Northern Michigan in the Summer Time, with his family.
